Coaching | South Africa

Introduction

Coaching | South Africa was established in 2012 as an online community resource for coaches - and those involved in coaching - in South Africa. From humble beginnings, the community has grown to a membership of more than 400 coaches and other interested parties.

From 2012 to 2018 Google+ served as the hosting platform for Coaching | South Africa. When Google+ announced its closure towards the end of 2018, the community was re-located to FaceBook. The upside is that, as a FaceBook Group, Coaching | South Africa can serve current members better, and attract many new members. It is already growing at a healthy pace on the new platform.

This website is (currently) merely a WWW presence, and a road sign directing traffic the the Coaching | South Africa FaceBook group. But that could change...

Mission

Coaching | South Africa is an open community of coaches, and those interested in coaching, in South Africa. We want to be a unifying, supportive online home for all coaches in South Africa.

How It Works

Think of it as the water cooler in the virtual office shared by all South African coaches: here we meet and greet, chat, share tips and tools, and ask for & provide assistance.

All contributions are valued. Contributions represent views and opinions, and are not necessarily endorsed by other coaches, the SA Coaching fraternity or Coaching | South Africa. We do not judge: we discuss, agree, disagree, debate and refute - all respectfully. There are a few rules - you will find them on the FB page.

We are happy to meet you, virtually, no matter what kind of coach you are - life coach, business coach, leadership coach, executive coach, career coach, transformation coach, behavioural coach, health and wellness coach, corporate coach, positive psychology coach, external coach, internal coach, organisational coach, group coach, team coach, academic coach, financial coach, personal coach, part-time coach, etc. - or which coaching model or combination of coaching models and coaching framework you subscribe to - Solution Focused Coaching, NLP Coaching, Ontological Coaching, GROW, OSKAR, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Integral Coaching, Narrative Coaching, Positive Psychology Coaching, Systemic Coaching, Transpersonal Coaching, etc.

Coach Directory

FaceBook Groups offer the functionality to create Units. Coaching | South Africa has a number of Units, and one of them is the Coach Directory. The Future

Who knows what the future holds? Today, an online community of South African coaches. What role we play in the future will be determined by what the local coaching community is in need of, and asks for. Anything is possible!
